A new interactive information sharing network has been created to help commuters work their commute efficiently and with the most information possible.

"New York resident Joshua Crandall recently launched a Boston beta version of 'Clever Commute,' a commuter information-sharing service he started as a frustrated rider on New Jersey Transit."

"'Commuting is a game, and the way you win this game is with information,' Crandall said, paraphrasing a Clever Commute subscriber."

"'One of my people might send out a message saying South Station is a zoo, so stay away,' he said. 'To somebody who needs to get home for their kids' piano recital they might tolerate that, but somebody who's out being social, they might wait for the later train.'"

"Steve Paxhia, an analyst with the Boston-based Gilbane Group, compared Clever Commute to Wikipedia."
