"Connecting Inwood in Manhattan to Co-Op City in the Bronx, the Select Bus Service corridor will allow riders to prepay the fare at vending machine stations along the line, and present receipts as proof of payment to 'enforcement personnel' aboard the buses."

"In addition to the prepaid fare set-up, SBS corridors will be equipped with Transit Signal Priority, a system that keeps signal lights green, and quickens the cycle of changing red signals back to green, to allow buses to move through intersections more smoothly."
