"MetroRail General Manager Richard A. White told the board of directors yesterday that he is figuring out a strategy to shift more rail cars to the Green Line as complaints about crowding continued to swirl... Since Metro opened five new stations on the Green Line on Jan. 13, two months ahead of schedule, weekday ridership has surged beyond expectations, overwhelming trains and platforms and angering thousands of passengers."
