Governor Jeb Bush's Growth Management Advisory Committee, in its review of Florida's Growth Management Laws, recommends linking development approvals to school capacity.

Florida's Growth Management Act is under the microscope. A series of recommendations have already emerged from the panel appointed by Governor Bush, with a final report due soon. Linking new development approvals with available space for students in schools may be one of the new directions. "The group also wants to stop the Department of Community Affairs' review of all local government growth plans and restrict it to only look at natural resources, hurricane preparedness or transportation plans."
