"The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently announced that $30 million is available to help communities purchase conservation easements to protect precious farmland.Through the Farmland Protection Program (FPP), a voluntary program implemented by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), New Hampshire communities could receive the necessary funding to help slow the loss of farmland in the state and preserve the rural character that both natives and visitors have come to enjoy."
