Houston's Transit Board Plays Hardball

The legal battle over Houston's Metro has switched into high gear. Officials are playing hardball -- with the Olympics.

"Metro's board of directors Monday yanked more than $130 million in light rail-related construction contracts from the table in response to a judge's order temporarily stopping construction on its 7.5-mile line. "The line is divided into five line segments. All of those construction contracts were pulled," said Robert Miller, Metropolitan Transit Authority board chairman. "We also had utility relocations related to light rail. We've pulled those contracts."
