The Santa Barbara County Long Range and Strategic Planning Division (formerly Comprehensive Planning Division) requests proposals for preparation of an EIR on the 2003-2008 Housing Element Action Phase.

The purpose of the EIR is to evaluate the environmental effects of Action Items specified in the Housing Element. These Action Items include: a commitment to rezone 62 acres of land to densities of 20 dwelling units per acre, the establishment of a variable density program, revisions to the County's mixed use policies, and residential development standard modifications. A full list and draft descriptions of the programs and activities to be evaluated in the EIR are included as Attachments 1 and 2 in the RFP.

Deadline for Submission: Wednesday, February 15, 2006 5:00 p.m.
