"The Macomb County Board of Commissioners will vote Feb. 22 on a recommendation from the Planning and Economic Development Committee to form a Farmland and Open Space Preservation task force. The task force would study the current situation regarding farm land in the county, research possible solutions and recommend a course of action back to the board.Task force members would study development in the county, research possible solutions and recommend a course of action. The group's goal: sensible development that protects good farmland, preserves water quality and provides open spaces."
