The Fannie Mae Foundation has launched a redesigned website organizedaroundthree areas: grants and leadership programs, key housing and communitydevelopment issues, and home-buying information. The foundation saysthis isthe first component of a new "e-strategy" that will take fulleradvantage oftechnology to solve affordable housing and community development issues.Theredesigned website features an "e-grant process," allowing users to fillouta grant request online. The foundation's home-buying guides and creditguides are available for download in nine languages. A clickable U.S.mapwill provide information on grants the foundation has made in differentareas of the country. Founded in 1979, Fannie Mae calculates that it hasgiven $162 million in grants to 5,400 organizations in more than 440communities across the U.S.
