Are you a seasoned community development expert looking for a change? This program might be for you.
Each year, the Fannie Mae Foundation selects up to six seasoned professionals as Johnson Fellows. These Fellows design and pursue development plans that can include research, travel, study, self-designed internships, and other activities that enhance their skills and knowledge. The Johnson Fellowship provides each Fellow with a $70,000 grant and a stipend of up to $20,000 for travel and education-related expenses. The nonprofit organization that each Fellow is associated with (through paid or volunteer employment) may receive a grant of up to $25,000 for transitional costs related to the temporary absence of that employee or volunteer.
