Poll finds New Jersey residents are not happy about urban sprawl and the state's solutions to counter it.

New Jersey residents are opposed to sprawl but are not sure the state's development plan has helped much, according to a new poll. A Star-Ledger/Eagleton-Rutgers poll released Sunday found popular ambivalence on the state Development and Redevelopment Plan. A revised version of the plan is up for approval Thursday. More than 80 percent of those interviewed said it was very important or somewhat important to ease traffic, preserve open space, stop sprawl, and revitalize cities.
