Still, legislators introduced hundreds of bills related to land use prior to the late-February deadline, including approximately 150 housing bills.Other land use bills would tinker with the California Environmental Quality Act, lower the hurdle for a redevelopment agency to prove "blight," require a finding of adequate water supplies for projects of at least 200 housing units, and require the Governors Office of Planning and Research to prepare a "State Comprehensive Plan."
