"The project is important because of the way it would tie downtown to the riverfront attractions south of Fort Washington Way. Cincinnati now recognizes that separating its central business district from its riverfront with a wide concrete canyon of highways in the 1970s was a monumental mistake. The green plazas, coupled with the narrower highway, would go a long way toward rectifying that mistake." The three city-block park might include a cafe and ice cream stand, sculptures, fountains, a seasonal ice skating rink, a memorial area for veterans, a dance pavilion, reflecting pools and a large lighted ferris wheel.
