While completing a DEIR for the CCC on a BRT for a TND TOD, environmental planner Linda Gorman, MURP, AICP contracted acronym poisoning and had to be rushed to the hospital.
"It happened very suddenly," said co-worker Merl Vallance at the CCC. "Last time I checked in with her, she was very close to completing the DEIR. I turned around when I heard a choking sound, and she had turned blue."
Ms. Gorman was filling out the AAQS and LOS sections of the DEIR when she was overcome.
Ms. Gorman, who is also a member of the APA and ASLA, was planning on attending CNU this coming summer. Her condition is stable, but doctors say that she'll have to stay away from any acronym-related requests for the foreseeable future.
