"We hear a lot about the continually rising national unemployment rate (currently at 9.7 percent), but the recession isn't hitting each part of the country with the same severity. Cities with the highest rates of unemployment include Detroit, Riverside and Providence.
Cities with some of the lowest rates include Oklahoma City, San Antonio and New Orleans.
