Matt Jensen's photographs reveal views of a natural Manhattan that are a little hard to believe. [Slideshow]
Photographer Matt Jensen's images of the island are not at all what most people associate with the densely built landscape:
"Here Nature is dense and our interventions into it are fragile, organic and fleeting. The photos are both a powerful reminder of the relationship between people and nature as well as an amazing demonstration of the ability of the camera to re-frame the way in which we see familiar spaces."
The photos are part of a gallery showing called "Nowhere in Manhattan" that runs from August 13th to 22nd.
