Report Describes Ottawa's Rapid Growth

A report by the Centre for Spatial Economics concludes that Ottawa, Canada, is growing faster than expected and predicts increased demand for housing, public transit, and roads.

"In the longer view, the report says that by 2031, the city will have grown to between 1.1 million and 1.75 million people, compared to today's 790,000.So the demand for more homes and more office space, roads and public transit, is going to get worse. The report suggests Ottawa will need between 88,000 and 138,000 new homes in the next decade alone."
