Survey findings show Californians are concerned about the state's rapid population growth but 66 percent believe adequate planning can help.

"A new survey says Californians are increasingly worried that their state is unprepared for population growth and that the energy crisis -- which they link to growth -- has deflated their confidence in government.Some 82 percent of the 2001 people asked said that population growth over the next two decades will make California a less desirable place to live."
