New Website Highlights Signage Issues For Business

The U.S. Small Business Administration's new signage website offers a one-source review of signage for businesses.

The site is cosponsored bythe Signage Foundation and partly funded by the International SignAssociation. It is aimed primarily at start-up and entrepreneurial businesses, butoffersinformation useful for planners, elected officials, neighborhood andadvocacy groups, and financial institutions. Topics include types ofsigns,assessing signage needs, economic value of signs for communities andbusinesses, legal issues, and permitting processes. There is also aphotogallery of various types of business signs. In the works: an appraisalmanual and a handbook on sign readability and traffic safety.
