"Standing amid some of the world's largest trees, President Bush on Wednesday announced new measures to spruce up America's national parks as he sought to improve his image on the environment... Bush aides insist the anti-environment perception is an unfair one. [Critics say it is] little more than a show amid pretty scenery that obscures proposals that would open other public lands to activities such as oil drilling."
