Seven of the top 20 most-wired cities are located in California, according to a recent survey conducted by Yahoo Internet Life magazine. San Jose was the leader, followed by San Francisco, AustinSan Marcos, Washington, D.C., and Orange County. Cities were judged on the number of households online, the level of user sophistication, local business presence on the Web, and the amount of information about the city and local govenment agencies accessible online.
