In his column in the Contra Costa Times, Robert C. Cuddy illustrates the conflict between the increasingly popular slow growth movement in California and the rising numbers of immigrants moving into the state. "Nobody wants to say it out loud, but the slow-growth movement is on a collision course with a significant demographic shift in California. Too many of the people being priced out of suburban housing by the anti-growth movement are precisely those people who are coming into the state in increasing numbers, especially Latinos."
