Norton Commons, designed by Duany PlaterZyberk is the first new urbanism project to make its way to Louisville. Will is succeed?
"After four years of designing, clearing regulatory hurdles and calming skeptics, the Triad Development Co. expects to break ground on the property, which straddles Oldham and Jefferson counties, in about 30 days, said David Tomes, assistant vice president of development. Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk, cofounder of the Duany PlaterZyberk architectural firm that designed the project, said Norton Commons would set a new standard in Kentucky and the region for how to build communities. The development will integrate residential, commercial, office and green space."
