The 4 new cycletracks would be built on Pennsylvania Avenue, L Street, Eye Street, and 9th Street. Like the existing 15th Street cycletrack, the new lanes would be separated from automobile traffic by a row of street parking, protecting cyclists from collisions with motorists.

Local bloggers and pundits have already begin discussing whether the new cycletracks will make turns more dangerous, the usefulness of the chosen routes, and whether the lanes are even necessary in an already bicycle-friendly city.
