Developer and "owners are seeking experienced construction firms with management expertise not just to oversee individual projects, but to manage entire programs. This no longer is limited to the larger firms and is opening up a whole new world of opportunities for companies with the background and the daring to think outside the box." Leading the list are Bechtel Group Inc. of San Francisco, CA; Fluor Corp. of Aliso Viejo, CA, and Kellogg Brown & Root of Houston, TX. "For the Top 100 CM-at-risk firms, revenue growth exceeded overall market growth. Revenue for this Top 100 grew 18.8% to $45.74 billion in 2000, from $38.54 billion in 1999. The domestic growth rate was even more impressive, rising 23.4% to $42.36 billion in 2000, from $34.33 billion in 1999. International revenue dropped 19.1% to $3.39 billion in 2000, from $4.21 billion in 1999."
