"A giant Six Flags. A concrete skate park. Those were among the ideas of a citizens group that 12 years ago suggested uses for Stapleton Airport after it closed. But Denver Mayor Wellington Webb unveiled a $44 million plan Thursday that reflects one common request - parks and green space. Expected to be constructed over the next 15 years, the park space is part of the Stapleton redevelopment, the country's largest mixed-use urban infill project featuring office and retail space and 12,000 homes."
