In Frisco, Texas, locals fought a non-profit that wanted to build a 200 low-income apartment building near Bicentennial Park.
Versa Development hoped to build the project with some funding from the Texas Housing Tax Credit program.
"The project, along with another low-income housing proposal, generated crowds of protest at a February City Council meeting. Neighbors said a three-story apartment complex wasn't in keeping with the neighborhood of single-family homes. They raised concerns about everything from traffic congestion to higher crime."
