"The Community Networking Community Pride table five laid out their possible action steps for addressing community development. Actions discussed are to promote community pride, support single parent households, encourage personal responsibility to keep it great and consider the needs of the arts and parking in the city. In addition, encouraging home ownership and economic development, but areas beyond the downtown region should not be forgotten. But dissatisfying to several is the negativity published by the media. Alicia DeNardo of the 2nd Street Family Center showed discomfort and expressed that if you called the local paper about someone killing or shooting -- the media would not hesitate to be there. But in regards to presenting positive news on family and youth, is neglected by the local paper. Julio Guridy suggested to work closely with the police department."
