Eric Fischer uses Flickr geodata to visualize where photos are taken in cities, and by whom. The result is a colorful divide between tourists and locals in a variety of cities around the world.
The maps show an interest comparison between the most popular tourist cities and those more off the beaten track. Looking at the maps of Rome or Prague, the viewer could easily be convinced that only tourists take photos there. London, New York, and Paris look very completely divided, reflecting the highly organized tourist friendly areas historically popular there.
