A public art project that appeared in Brisbane, Australia proposes a "priority seating area for people who want conversation" in order to encourage friendly chatter on public buses.
The project is being adapted for an event in Williamsburg in Brookyln called Williamsburg Walks:
"On Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27, Bedford Avenue in Willamsburg between N. 4th and N 9th Streets will be closed to traffic and filled with local artists, craftsmen, kids' activities, walking tours, music, and a giant picnic from 1 to 7 pm. The event is organized by Neighbors Allied for Good Growth and the L Magazine with the support of Project for Public Spaces and and DOT's Weekend Walks Program."
