The Most Vital 'Boomburbs' In The Country

The Fannie Mae Foundation has listed the 53 most vital 'boomburbs' in the country. Almost half are in California.

A 'boomburb' is a suburb growing more urban, according to a recent study. What gives a boomburg vitality is transforming the sprawl into "walkable communities with vibrant downtown centers." Two of the 53 listed are in LA county, three are in Ventura County, six are in Orange County and seven are in the Inland Empire.
