The Riverside County Planning Commission is considering opening up more areas to churches, but local wineries are fighting the move, saying that the alcohol business and church don't mix.
Jeff Horseman of the Press-Enterprise talks with the pro-church side:
""The vintners are screaming the sky is falling, (but) the likelihood that churches will flood the Wine Country is pretty remote," said Robert Tyler of Murrieta-based Advocates for Faith and Freedom."
And the anti-church side:
"We're in the business of producing and selling alcoholic beverages. In general, that sort of runs counter to a lot of churches." says Ray Falkner, owner of Falkner Winery.
