"The city Planning Commission last week voted unanimously to expand the city's unique car-share requirements to new non-residential buildings everywhere in the city and promote its use 'as a tool to offset the urban impacts of new development.' The idea is to help promote the city's transit-first policy while satisfying people's occasional need for a car."
San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area is seen as one of the top markets for car-sharing, and officials are hoping to help the idea spread.
