"[The] lawsuit against Vancouver-based Intrawest stands as a test case to stem urban sprawl into the Highlands. The largely undeveloped 1,000-square-mile Highlands serves as a recreation playground and the source of drinking water for about half of the state's population, according to the Office of State Planning."
