Video L.E.D. screens with images of musicians are going up throughout Lincoln Center as part of the overall look and feel of the concert hall.
Elizabeth Diller of architecture firm Diller Scofidio & Renfro says in The New York Times that "...the media elements are not just finishing touches: they are an extension, and in many ways the ultimate expression, of a wholesale reimagining of the complex as more porous, inviting and immediate."
One major component of the media are 13 vertical "blade" screens along the West 65th Street side of the Center.
"On top of the information they will provide about performances, the blades - 50 feet apart and facing east toward Columbus - will combine text and video images and are meant to enliven the street and convey the vitality and accessibility of the center."
Excerpts from the video can be seen embedded in the full article.
