Frank Gehry vs Playa Vista Environmentalists

Architect Frank Gehry has been asked by environmentalists to resign from his position as designer of the Playa Vista project.

Environmentalists are opposed to the development of residential and commercial buildings alongside Ballona Creek near Marina del Rey. They believe that Gehry's involvement is giving undue credibility to the project, and they have asked him to resign. Gehry's office has refused comment except to say that the project will not harm wetlands.
