Pasadena's City Hall: Past Its Prime

Considered by many as the most beautiful city Hall in the country, Pasadena needs close to $80 million to retrofit it.

In 1927 it was built at a cost of $1.34 million. A scaled-back version of retrofitting and updating may cost close to $80 million. The question is: will the voters back a bond measure to fund it? A preliminary poll says 'no.' But the structure is a potential disaster waiting to happen. What will happen to the area if the government moves out and rents elsewhere?
