The books are Treading Softly: Paths to Ecological Order by Thomas Princen, and Rematerial: From Waste to Architectureby Alejandro Bahamón and Camila Sanjinés.
Way writes that Princen "challenges readers to 'live well by living within our means,' what he calls a 'home economy.'"
Meanwhile, Bahamón's book "resides somewhere between the glossy coffee-table book and a manual of ideas."
