But in the Hudson Valley, people can't seem to agree if sprawl really exists or, if it does, whether it should be stopped...Most politicians and planners seem to define sprawl as uncontrolled and unsustainable growth... Suburban sprawl doesn't only affect open space. It's intimately tied to the cities the space surrounds. Around here that means New York City and places like Middletown, Newburgh and Port Jervis."
