Artists are flocking to a town in Turkey that promises "authentic village life." The architect behind the plan says that the project has attracted creatives who "miss natural and pure human relations."
The city is apparently attracting a lot of interest from artists, with 500 applications coming in for just one home in the "Village of Gratitude":
"'One of the factors that draw artists to this village is that they will live a village life and meet people with neighbors speaking the same [artistic] language as them. This is very important to them,' said Çavuş native Taşdiken, who said the great interest in acquiring a house in the village was not a surprise to the planning team.
The village is primarily aimed at musicians, filmmakers, painters, fashion designers, archaeologists, journalists, sculptors and other artists, who will also give classes for free while also tending their own vegetables."
