Boston area venture capital firms are moving out to Route 128. Despite being less convenient for the partners and top executives, this is part of an effort to be closer to the "pulse of the region's entrepreneurs." Some investors, however, feel as if they are sacrificing their place in the heart of Boston's financial scene."Unlike relocations in other industries, this one isn't being done to suit the top executives. Truth be told, moving to the 'burbs is less convenient for several partners at both Greylock and Highland. They'll have a longer commute and the airport will no longer be close by. The great irony is that, in their effort to be closer to the pulse of the region's entrepreneurs, the investors feel they're coming a bit unplugged from Boston's financial scene."
