Vancouver Students May Get New Gondola

The city of Burnaby, near Vancouver, may soon approve a proposed gondola line connecting university students to rest of city.

Students of Simon Frasier University, with a population of 25,000 and growing, are one step closer to seeing the proposed gondola line on Burnaby Mountain get approved, as city council members and TransLink move the project forward.

Janaya Fuller-Evans writes:

"The project is estimated to cost $70 million, with funding options still being explored... [and] could possibly transport 3,000 or more people per hour, in half the time of the current bus trips..."
