Improved Beach Access for Disabled

A city in Michigan has initiated a plan to provide greater beach and park access to those who are disabled.

"Thanks to efforts to make local beaches universally accessible through the installation of mobility mats, or portable pathways that can be used for elderly and disabled communities, pedestrians with strollers and families with young children", Traverse City Michigan has set a positive example to other cities across the country for improving access for the disabled.
