"Opponents of a $150 million power plant planned for the southwest corner of the city have taken a new tack in their fight, working to gain state Rustic Road status for the area where the plant is to be built.Despite protests from hundreds of area residents since plans were made public last fall, the Common Council gave Wisconsin Power Projects LLC the necessary approvals it needs for a 375-megawatt, natural gas-fired plant near I-43 and Crowbar Road and at New Berlin's border with Muskego and Vernon."
