L.A.'s newest light-rail station, at the current end-of-the-line off La Cienega, has attracted one new office building so far. The developer saw the future transit station as an amenity. Will others join him?
Developer Jonathan Genton is apparently bully for transit-oriented development:
""I just sort of follow the train lines around," said Genton in a Los Angeles Times interview.
But on the other hand a real estate agent quoted in the article said that transit access isn't a selling point for Angeleans:
"Neighbors are often less concerned about the future than finding a place to park," he said.
