NPR reporter Jacob Fenston hits D.C. streets to interview folks about the nation's largest bikesharing program, with 12,000 members.
Fenston speaks to seven people on the street: "The main complaint people have about the BikeShare system is that so many people are using it so it can be impossible to find a bike, especially at rush hour."
Fenston finds Paul DeMaio who went to Copenhagen to study these "amazing Bycyklen (city bike program)" in 1995. And that was the start of his bikesharing crusade. A few years later he quit his day job and started a business as a bikeshare consultant. The system here is one of his clients."
