"Burns said Robertson replied: 'I designed it for a 707 to smash into it.'Burns, whose firm did the structural engineering for the Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia--the world's tallest buildings--said that Robertson did not elaborate on the remark.A spokesman for Robertson's firm, Leslie E. Robertson Associates of New York City, declined comment, but confirmed that the structural engineer had publicly stated that the towers would not buckle if hit by a 707."
