The $130 million project will strengthen the area as a student corridor. With student enrollment on the rise and housing in high demand, universities in Chicago's South Loop district are coming together to provide attractive student housing at fair prices. They are adding housing for 1,600 students at the three schools, with prices ranging from $650 per month to $850 per month for suite-style living. The residence hall is expected to open in Fall of 2004 and will complement the School of the Art Institute's residence hall in the North Loop.
