Housing Crisis Making Americans Ill

A new survey from the American Journal of Public Health found that people who have fallen behind on their mortgage payments are more likely to be suffering from depression.

Access to "health-relevant resources," which includes food as well as medications, declined among the same group.

The Wall Street Journal notes that they covered a previous study "...showing a link between communities with high foreclosure rates and increases in emergency-room visits."

They also note that the situation could be getting worse with unemployment increasing in tandem with depressed housing prices.
