CitiesFirst is a national community revitalization venture created bythe U.S. Conference of Mayors and the Nehemiah Corporation of Californias.CitiesFirst will provide mayors with access to funding and technicalassistance to help transform cities, shape federal policy, promote sustainedgrowth and stability, and continue to bring people and commerce back to theheart of American cities. Initially, Nehemiah Corporation has committed $1million to the program, which will be used to preserve social serviceorganizations in selected cities.
